Seated Black and Gold Thai Buddha Statue 30cm High

This beautiful Thai Buddha is sat in a lotus position, one hand raised in the Shuni Mudra pose - the seal of patience, used at times where stability and strength is needed and turning negative thoughts into positive ones. He wears the traditional style of robes, with one shoulder uncovered and a sash over the other; it drapes and flows down over his body. The robe is formed from a rich gold threaded material which glistens when placed in sunshine or candle light. Buddha's head is adorned with the traditional Ushnisha which has been highlighted in a Gold finish; the series of tight curls was once thought to represent the crown of the royal family, but nowadays it is taken to symbolize the spiritual power of the Buddha's enlightenment.

The Thai Buddha has His eyes closed in meditation and brings peace and serenity to any room you wish to place Him in.
