| Eight Carved, Caned & Painted Provincial-Style Dining Chairs Stamped AGR Paris |

Striking set of 8 Provincal-style dining chairs with rococo style arms and stretchers, with scrolled crests topped with carved shells. Marked AGR Paris. Painted a soft yellow with deep blue accents. The seats and backs are caned, and are painted yellow to match the frames, with an all-over diamond motif pattern painted in blue. Made during the first half of the 1900's.
In excellent condition. All the frames are solid, and there are no loose joints. There is a minor repair to the front edge corner to one of the side chairs, and is completely solid. A small piece of the scrolled rear foot on one of the side chairs is missing. The caning appears to be solid on all the chairs, except for one seat - it has two small areas that have some minor breaks in the reed, nothing of any significance. Minor wear and "patina" to the paint - along the crests, and front of the seats but certainly less than normal, nothing excessive.
Measurements:
The "Gentleman's" Chair is the largest: 39.5" tall, 21" wide at the crest. The seat is 26" wide at the front, is 20" deep and sits 18" high.
The "Lady's" Chair is 38" tall, 19" wide at the crest. The seat is 24" wide at the front, and sits 17.5" high.
The side chairs are 38" tall, 15.25" wide at the crest. The seat is 19" wide at the front, 17" deep and sits 17.5" high.
