These bulkhead fittings are molded from durable PVC plastic, with thermo-plastic elastomer (TPE) gaskets, and are compatible with most other PVC pipes, glues and fittings.

Hey, Amateurs! Please read this!

A bulkhead fitting is a pipe-to-tank adapter. The nominal size of a bulkhead fitting (i.e. the part of the product name that ends with "inch") refers to the size of pipe that the bulkhead will accept once it is installed into a tank. Similarly, the Thread/Slip designation refers to the inner channel of the bulkhead fitting where pipe is inserted.

There are many different styles of bulkhead fittings, with different wall thicknesses. But if it is called (for example) "1-Inch Slip x Slip" that means that a 1-inch pipe will slip into it. If it is called "3/4-Inch Slip x Thread," then a 3/4-inch pipe would slip into the flanged end, and a 3/4-inch pipe would screw into the shaft end. And so on.

But…but…what size hole do I need to make in my tank in order to install the bulkhead fitting?

Or…

But…but…there’s already a hole! What size bulkhead will fit into it?

We are so glad you asked! Please consult the following small chart which contains the holesaw sizes (i.e. bulkhead shaft outer diameters) for this line of bulkhead fittings! You're welcome!
