About Our Company

With over 30 years of experience in commercial refrigeration industry, Cooltech Refrigeration was founded by a group of refrigeration manufacturing engineers and service consultants to some of the largest commercial refrigerator manufacturers in the world. Cooltech Refrigeration has been a widely recognizable name to many business owners and distributors in the food service industry in New York metropolitan and Tri-State area for the past several years. Up until recently due to growing popularity and high representation requests from distributors across the country, Cooltech Refrigeration has expanded its distributorship and retail market to the rest of the lower 48 contiguous states.

When Receiving Freight Shipment:

It is the customer's sole responsibility to ensure that the product is received in good condition. Buyer should uncrate and carefully inspect for freight damages before signing off the driver. Failure to do so will result in difficulty when filing a claim with the freight company. Driver should be made aware of the damages before leaving customer's location. Bill of lading should be noted and signed (all copies) by buyer and the driver. We are not responsible for any repair or service bill due to freight damage if the customer fails to mark 'damaged' on freight receipt before the driver leaves. We will, however, help the customer to file for freight claim.

Customer's Freight Damage Procedure

Before signing the carrier's freight bill the customer should do the following: 

Visible Damage: 

1.Inspect shipment for any damage. If you see damage or feel there may be concealed damage, mark the carrier's copy of the freight bill 'damaged'.
2.If there is damage to your shipment, action must be taken by you to notify the carrier within 48 hours of receipt. A freight claim must be filed with the carrier and an inspection scheduled by the carrier. It is the duty of the carrier to give you a written report upon notification. (VISIBLE AND CONCEALED).
3.For visible damage do not accept delivery unless the condition is noted on your copy of the freight bill and signed by the driver.

Concealed Damage:

1.If the damage is concealed, notify the carrier within 48 hours by phone and in writing. Ask them to send their agent to complete an inspection report.
2.Retain all cartons and merchandise for inspection. It is critical that the customer take the above actions.

Limited Warranty: One (1) Year Warranty (Parts and Compressor) 

Cooltech Refrigeration warrants to the original purchaser of Cooltech Refrigeration branded equipment, including all parts thereof, that such equipment is free from defects in material and workmanship, under normal use and service as indicated by Cooltech Refrigeration installation and operation instructions, for a period of one (1) year from the date of installation. For the purpose of this warranty, the original purchaser shall be deemed to mean the individual or company for whom the product was originally installed. Our obligation under this warranty shall be limited to repairing or replacing, any part of such product which proves thus defective. Cooltech Refrigeration reserves the right to examine any product claimed to be defective. If after review the product is not deemed defective, Cooltech Refrigeration reserves the right to deny payment for repair. 
 
Any part determined to be defective and requested to be returned should be returned to the company within thirty (30) days under the terms of this warranty. Purchaser is responsible for all shipping charges of the faulty part back and forth Cooltech Refrigeration for repair or replacement. 
 
Improper operation resulting from factors, including but not limited to, low voltage conditions, inadequate wiring, and accidental damage are not manufacturing defects and are strictly the responsibility of the purchaser. 
 
Condenser coils must be cleaned at regular intervals. Failure to do so can cause compressor malfunction and will void warranty. Although cleaning requirement may vary in accordance with the operation of various products, we recommend a minimum monthly cleaning. 
 
Limited 90-Mile Warranty: One (1) Year Warranty (Labor) 

For local purchases only. On top of the Limited One (1) Year Warranty (Parts and Compressor), Cooltech Refrigeration warrants to the original purchaser of Cooltech Refrigeration branded equipment, whose operation located within 90 miles of Cooltech Refrigeration (zip code 11232), including all parts thereof, that such equipment is free from defects in material and workmanship, under normal use and service as indicated by Cooltech Refrigeration installation and operation instructions, for a period of one (1) year, including labor, from the date of installation. For the purpose of this warranty, the original purchaser shall be deemed to mean the individual or company for whom the product was originally installed. Our obligation under this warranty shall be limited to repairing or replacing, any part of such product which proves thus defective. Cooltech Refrigeration reserves the right to examine any product claimed to be defective. If after review the product is not deemed defective, Cooltech Refrigeration reserves the right to deny payment for repair. 
 
NO CLAIMS CAN BE MADE AGAINST THIS WARRANTY FOR SPOILAGE OF PRODUCTS, LOSS OF SALES OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. 

THE FOREGOING WARRANTIES ARE EXPRESSLY GIVEN IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, WHICH ARE HEREBY DISCLAIMED, AND ALL OTHER OBLIGATIONS OR LIABILITIES ON OUR PART, AND WE NEITHER ASSUME, NOR AUTHORIZE ANY OTHER PERSON TO ASSUME FOR US, ANY OBLIGATION OR LIABILITY IN CONNECTION WITH THE SALE OF SAID REFRIGERATION UNITS OR ANY PARTS THEREOF. 
 
This warranty shall not be assignable and shall be honored only in so far as the original purchaser. 

This warranty does not apply outside the limits of the United States of America, nor does it apply to any part which has been subject to misuse, neglect, alteration, accident, or to any damage caused by transportation, flood, fire, or acts of terrorism, or acts of God. 
 
Limitation Of Liability 

Cooltech Refrigeration or their affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or losses of a commercial nature arising out of malfunctioning equipment or its parts or components thereof, as a result of defects in material or workmanship.

Genuinely faulty goods or shipment damage will be replaced or money refunded, we must be advised of any faulty goods upon receipt of the item.

Item may be returned within 7 days upon receipt of the item. However, the return needs to be notified and authorized by us within 3 days upon receipt of the item. Buyer is responsible for and shipping the item back to us. 

There will be a 20% restocking fee applied on all returns. Refund will be issued through Paypal after we receive the return and determine the item in original new condition.
