What's on this DVD;  Douglas A-26 Invader

This DVD is about the incredible "Douglas A-26 Invader"  attack bomber.  What an aircraft!!!  A concept of a single seat attack bomber,  the Douglas Co. first introduced the A-20 Havoc and in 1940 released the A-26 version in 1943.  It was very fast.  Speeds up to 370 MPH which was very fast for a bomber.  The A-26 Invader first saw action in the pacific, but the pacific pilots did not like it because of the poor visibility when it came to low level runs.  General McKinney said "Send it back until they fix that problem".  The A-26 was released in the Europe theater in 1944 and was well received.  Mostly used for bombing and strafing runs, it got high praises from Europe pilots.  Only 1570 were ever built and the A-26 Invader went on to be used in Korean war, the French in the Indonesia, and then the USAF in Vietnam.  It was a great long lasting airframe and was retired in 1972 because they just wore the plane out.  This DVD is a collection of a films, newsreels, photos on the wonderful Douglas A-26 Invader.  We hope you'll strap in and enjoy.
