What's on this DVD;  M151 Truck, Utility, 1/4 Ton 4X4 MUTT Jeep

This DVD is about the Amazing M151 Ford 1/4 Ton Jeep. This new type developed by the Ford Motor Co. was a leap in technology. It had a unibody and was much lighter the old Willies M38a1. Great concept and the Army had bought thousands of them, but there was a problem.

1st Film: "M151A2 Handling". This is a great film created by the Army on the Handling properties of the M151A2. Show the type of usages of the Jeep to how to drive the unit so you don't get yourself into trouble. 17:51 Min

2nd Film: "M151 Operations". This is a film from the Army and it is about the M151. From it's usages to how not to flip this jeep. 13:07 Min

3rd Film: "MP's and the M151 at River Crossings". This film is extraordinary in it's content and footage of the usages of the MP's and the M151 to manage the control of a military river crossing. I put this film with this collection because there is lots of footage of the M151, plus lots of other Army stuff. A must see. 17:28 Min's

4th Film; "Arrive Alive". An Army film on the dangers of the M151 if you turn too sharply at a curve in the road.  Shows the M151 jeep flipping as result. Yikes!  7:23 Min's

5th Film: "M151 Brake Maintenance". These film show a lot of footage of the M151 and how to work on the Drum brakes. 21:34 Min

6th Film: "M151 Engine OVH". This film shows how the remove the engine and transmission as one unit. Great for maintaining a M151. 7:40 Min

6th Film: "President Nixon and the M151". President Nixon visited Johnston Atoll Island in July of 1969. If you look closely, they used a modified version of the M151 Jeep. Notice the smooth skin on the Jeep. Unusual. I met President Nixon at Hunter Army Airfield in 1970. As a flight instrument instructor, He line us all up on the tarmac and shook our hand. Did not say anything to me, but, He implement the "Vietnamization Program" that week and I was spared a trip to Vietnam (along with 56 others) because of that decision. That spared me a trip to Vietnam. I was not anti-war, but I want to thank him for that. Most of my high school friends came back a emotional disaster. I hope that you'll enjoy the clip. 7:39 Min
