ANTIQUE BRONZE or SPELTER STATUE PAR J CAUSSE " FIN DE JOURNEE " PARIS FRANCE

I've done MUCH RESEARCH on this statue from many different Auction House's.  Another similar sold for $19,500, according to Davenport's Art Reference and Price Guide 2012 Edition, page no. 500.

This piece has sat in my Mom & Dad's house for over 40 years.  They got it most likely at an Estate Sale.  My parents are elderly and I am helping them sell a few items to clear out the house.

Tests for Authenticity that I've done:

1.  A Magnet does NOT stick to any part of the Sculpture or the Base.
2.  I pulled off the bottom material--there is nothing written on the bottom.
3.  Screw used on Base appears old (see photo).

Signed on Statue & via Base Plaque

Julien Causse (1869-1914)

This piece dates approximately 1890-1910

Measures approximately:   25" tall Including Base
                                                       22" tall Sculpture without Base
                                             9.5" diameter at Base

Weighs approximately:   5 pounds 6 ounces

Condition:   Statue needs polishing.  Nose shows a silvery color coming through.  Fingers show nice detail.  Arm has specks on it.  I don't know if this is because the piece needs to be polished, but these pictures were all taken with flash, so it may be more silvery looking because of that.  Base is a little lose and needs tightening.  On the back side, where the man is resting his hand on his hip, there is a slight imperfection--an area that looks a little "open"--(see last picture)--I would never have noticed it without a Loop (it is not noticeable to the naked eye).  Has Not been cleaned--is dusty.  Needs Cleaning.  Any defects not mentioned but visible in the pictures will be considered as "described".

Item sold "AS-IS"--see photos. Please ask questions prior to bidding.  NO REFUNDS.

Please make payment within 2 days of Bid Acceptance.  Thank you.

I only ship on Fridays.  I give myself a 5 day window to ship.

Shipping Fee's INSIDE & OUTSIDE USA:  My shipping Fee's are a guestimate that reflect a combination of Packaging, Insurance, and eBay Shipping Fee's.  Please know that prices have gone up at the Post Office AND Insurance is costly + eBay now charges Sellers a 9% of Shipping Fee fee for charging the Buyer for shipping.  For example, if I charge you $15.00 for shipping, eBay charges me 9% of $15.00 = $1.35.  These eBay shipping fee's are built into my price.  If I overcharged you on Shipping, Packaging, and eBay Shipping Fee's, I am happy to refund any overage over $5.00 after fee's.

Shipping OUTSIDE USA:  I may have overcalculated.  If I did, I will refund the overage.  I ship UPS, which is more expensive, but is the only way I can properly INSURE & Track.   In some cases, Customs may hold your item and make you pay additional fee's before they release the item to you.  Seller is not responsible for these charges and they are not included in any way with the sale.  International Buyers – Please Note: Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding or buying. Customs fees are normally charged by the shipping company or collected when you pick the item up. These fees are not additional shipping charges. We won't under-value merchandise or mark the item as a gift on customs forms. Doing that is against U.S. and International laws.
