2011 St. Louis Cardinals World Championship Ring Presented to
Member of Coaching Staff. It was perhaps the most dramatic
turn-around in the long history of Fall Classic competition, the
Cardinals twice battling back from their final strike to even the
Series at three games apiece, then winning Game Seven to earn these rings. This keepsake is a timeless tribute to a thrilling
Fall Classic.
The original recipient of the ring was Amaury Rivera, a coach
within the elite breeding grounds of the Cardinals' Dominican
Republic farm system that spawned Albert Pujols.
A ruby-red cardinal perches on a golden bat on a field of faux
diamonds adorning the face of the ring, sandwiched between bold
text announcing "World" and "Champions." Left shank
provides a raised text "Rivera" above a ruby filled
"St.L" logo. The first five of eleven World Championship
seasons are listed below, completed on the right shank beneath text
announcing "2011 St. Louis Cardinals" and a synthetic
ruby-filled number "11," the tally of World Championships
for the franchise. Interior band of the silver-toned beauty is
stamped "Jostens SEW," and engraved with the results of the various playoff
series, along with the phrase "Happy Flight," a reference to
a team policy of winning on the road. Size eleven (11).
Ring is displayed in its original cherry wood and etched glass
hinged display case. Also here is the outer packaging in which the
ring and display case were housed upon presentation.
