CUFF MEASURING

The best method we've found for getting your perfect cuff size is what we call the "Cardboard Test."  Find an empty cereal box or pizza box (non-corrugated) or similar material like a soda bottle or any sturdy material you can use to cut out a strip.  Cut it to basically 1/4" wide and a little longer than you think the cuff should be.  You can tape pieces together if have to for added length.  Then tape it around your neck end to end.  If it's too big cut it down a little at a time until you get the fit you think you want.  Wear it for a while (at least an hour or two or more) so that you can get an idea for the feel.  Then when you find the right size, measure it and that is the total size of your collar (including the lock).  This works 99% of the time it's much better than guessing.

WHAT IS A "DAY COLLAR"

A day collar, by definition, is a collar that looks more like jewelry than a traditional leather "house collar." It's primary function is to be worn during certain occasions or events that are considered outside of the lifestyle or "vanilla" where a more traditional leather house collar would not be appropriate.

There are many different kinds of relationships in the lifestyle and sometimes a less obvious collar needs to be worn during situations that are vanilla, or more "normal" like work or school or an office party where most people wouldn't understand the relationship. A Day Collar is more of a symbolic collar that maintains the vows of the relationship during these "vanilla" situations.

A day collar is not generally intended to be worn on a 24/7 daily basis. Initially a Day collar was meant to be removed after the vanilla situation and the leather House collar be locked back on. With that being said, many people in the lifestyle are breaking from the more traditional leather "House Collar" and using a Day Collar on a 24/7 Basis. We are one of those people and victoria wears a Solid Sterling Collar and Lock every day. If you too want to use a Day Collar on a 24/7 basis we have many collars that are considered 24/7 wear.
