Fits grilles up to 24"L x 24"W x 2" D. 24" covers are useful for air conditoner return grilles, and commercial ducts with large grilles.   

CA-series covers are designed with a specifically engineered foam matrix for long term applications such as winterization and specially designed to conform to irregular surfaces for the best draft seal possible while being gentle on walls and ceilings as to avoid marks or yellowing. The lanyard and cord lock attachment system is included with each AC DraftShield.

How does the A-C DraftShield® Cover Work? 

Step 1 Hook included lanyard to AC grille, making sure to keep the connection as close to the center as possible. 

Step 2 Tighten the cord using the included cord lock, until the vent cover is tightly sealed around the air conditioner vent. 

Step 3 Feed lanyard into the hole in the center to hide the excess slack. 

Do the Energy Audit Covers substitute for the Central A/C covers? 

The basic plastic cover in both models is the same size dimension and made from the same plastic but the similarities end there. There are a few differences and these are as follows:  

1. The Central Air (CA) series cover has two sets of apertures (holes), one for the lanyard and one to tuck the tail end into for long periods of time (example full winter or summer period). On the other hand, the EA cover has only two single apertures as the installation is temporary and the tail end of the lanyard hangs down as a reminder that the cover is up. Should you want to transform the EA series into a CA application (i.e. long term), you can easily drill a second hole an inch away from the two apertures in the cover to tuck the tail in just as the CA series cover.
2. The foam for the CA series cover is a two part white and gray foam where the EA Series is a two part white and black foam rubber and the EA foam is adhered into the channel. The black foam rubber in the EA series is an industrial seal made for many cycles, installation and removals possibly a coupe a day where the gray foam is very supple for residential surfaces.
