1994 New Bright Plastic Train Set Chicago Northwestern Railway 20 Pieces

Gently used plastic train set Chicago Northwestern Railway. The engine says Quality Toys, 1989. The caboose and freight car say New Bright, 1988. Comes with 4 pieces of 10.5" straight track and 12 pieces of 13" curved track. Train cars are approx 11x4x4 inches. Used only as decoration under Christmas Tree. I do not know how to make it run. All pieces look to be attached to the trains.I'm not seeing anything broken.
