Sony STAMINA Mode – Go even further

How can you improve on a good thing? Activate Sony STAMINA Mode and keep your battery going longer – without major compromise.

Extended standby mode

Want to make standby last four times as long? Switch on Extended Standby Mode. Your apps and functions will be intuitively turned off when you’re not using the display. However, you’ll still receive calls, texts, alarms and your choice of app notifications. Press the power button and everything is up and running again. 

Extended usage mode

Low on battery but still have things to do? Extended usage mode extends usage time by up to 14%.

Ultra STAMINA Mode – Squeeze out every drop 

Sometimes the unexpected happens and you find yourself running seriously low on battery when you’re far away from your charger. Ultra STAMINA Mode will help you out, limiting your phone to core functions – like calls and SMS – so you can get every bit of charge from your battery.

HDR (High Dynamic Range) is an imaging technology used to capture clear photos against strong backlight. With HDR, your Android™ smartphone captures the same image at different exposure levels and layers them to create one optimised photo.

AR fun

AR fun lets you scribble and draw on top of what you see through the viewfinder. Capture photos and videos with AR animations, objects and messages, and have fun with your world.

Portrait retouch

Make your selfies and portraits even better with Portrait retouch. Choose from 10 different beauty styles, add make-up effects, select a decorative frame, or add a bit of eye sparkle. See the changes in real-time and then snap your selfie.

Live on YouTube™

With Live on YouTube, you can broadcast every precious moment as it happens live via YouTube. Get your friends’ responses right on the screen and keep the conversation going all in real time. 

Sound photo – add sounds to your photos

Sound photo lets you relive the moment with sound and visuals Capture up to ten seconds of audio to accompany an animated photo and share with your friends through PlayMemories Online™.
