Morado Sweetcorn - 25+ seeds - PURPLE and EDIBLE! 

Latin name: Zea mays cv. Morado

Dark purple, almost black corn from Peru. 

The corn is eaten as young as sweetcorn. When corn-cobs are still soft and whitish juice exits from it when a fingernail is pressed in the grain. 
Then loosen the grains with the diameter of the corn-cob by cutting from top to bottom. For using as vegetable meals, colourful stir-fries and soups. 
This corn is traditionally also used for something else, namely a lemonade-like drink with cinnamon or corn beer. The drink without alcohol is called "Chicha Morada".
Contains a lot of anthocyanins and vitamin E, health materials for cell protection, anti-aging, strengthens the immune system, circulation and vision.
For cultivation as a vegetable corn normal sowing is enough, for use as a beverage ingredient, the dried and fully mature corn-cobs are necessary.
