Brake Inner Cable Wire, 1.6mm Thick, 1750mm Bicycle MTB Road Buy 1, 2 or 4

What is brake inner cables used for?

-Brake inner cables are used on bicycles that have cable pull brakes.
-Usually on mountain bikes, road bikes, urban bikes and most kids bicycles.
-Naturally over time your brake and shifter inner cable stretches, which makes the need to constantly fine tune.
-Brake cables are approximately 1.6mm in wire thickness with a large cylinder disc shaped head, and shifter cables are approximately 1.2mm in wire thickness with a small cylinder barrel shaped head (which basically means brake cables are usually thicker than shifter cables).
-If your bicycle is not being used, I recommend that you shift your gears onto the smallest cog to reduce the tension put on the cables and minimise stretching.
-Buy 1, 2 or 4 to stock up as spares.

-The brake cable measurements is approximately wire thickness 1.6mm x length 1750mm including the head (1745mm not including the head).
-1 x brake cable weighs approximately 8.9grams (2 x brake cables weighs approximately 17.8grams, 4 x shifter cables weighs approximately 35.6grams).
-I'm only selling the 1750mm long brake cables because I personally think that selling the shorter cables may be too short for some bikes, or whether your like me and wrap extra excess wiring around your housing.
-You will receive 1, 2 or 4 x inner brake cables depending on your order, with no retail packaging.

Installation
-Undo the brake anchor bolt (on the brake).
-Remove the old wire, but keep the housing.
-Thread the brake cable through the housing and pull the tension so it's tight, but not too tight.
-Tighten the anchor bolt on the brake.
-Test the brakes for feel, some people like tight brakes, some like looser brakes.
-Otherwise, if you don't feel confident about DIY, take your new cables and get the bike mechanic to install them (it's cheaper to buy parts from me and take it to the shop because the bike shop charge more for parts).
