This is a badge promoting the emblem of Brazilian Socialist Party (PSB) of Brazil. The name "PSB 40" is in reference to its number as an official national party of Brazil. Formed in 1947, the PSB has made several transitions and positions between the center and the Left. It was formed in 1947 as a breakaway from the National Democratic Union (UDN), as the UDN moved increasingly to the right. the Brazilian Socialist Party enjoys a healthy amount of representation in Brazilian politics.
