Description: Exceptional model of the schooner yacht America. The namesake of the "America's Cup." The hull is copper sheathed below the waterline painted black above. The planked deck carries cockpit with floorboards and benches, companionway, hatches, skylight, etc... I believe this model is around 20-40 years old and was built by a master craftsaman and marketed initially by a well known company out of New England that markets ship models. The model has a estimated value of $8,000 to $10,000.00 and would make a great addition to a maritime restaurant or office building.
