writer, best known for
his books The Three Musketeers and The Count
of Monte Cristo.
(His son, also named Alexandre Dumas, was also a well known
writer;

often referred to as Camille.)

This book, which is the fifth volume of a
five volume set, is a sequel to The Three Musketeers.
This volume is from a limited edition
set; it is #69 from an edition of 1000.
This is a hardback book, 8 3/4" by 5
7/8", 464 pages, with five b/w illustrations.
The illustrations are
protected by thin tissues.
The top edge of the pages are gilt-tipped.
This is an ex-library book which has been
rebound with a library binding.
There are three library inkstamps; one on the top
edge of the pages (barely visible),
one on the title page, and one on the bottom edge of the
pages.
There is also an embossed library stamp on the title page.
One of the protective tissues is
torn and detached.
Otherwise, the book is in very good condition, with some
minor general wear.
The pages were printed on high quality paper, and the
result is that
they still look very good, with no foxing and only very light
browning.
