CONDITION: This wonderful set is overall in VERY GOOD condition! Has normal wear from age on design & gold detailing. Lots of little imperfections with a set this old, so please refer to pictures. Cup is covered in crazing lines. Couple little unnoticeable nicks along inner rim of lid on soap dish. One of the soap dish inserts is covered in crazing & has a stained area with a crack. Stain & some crazing on soap dish. Weird spot on lily design on one side of pitcher, I honestly think this is a manufacturing defect though.

Included in this auction is a smaller pitcher, cup, toothbrush holder & lidded soap dish with 2 inserts. Beautiful with a half white & half pink design with a stunning white lily flower.
Founded in 1855, Maddock is part of a cluster of Staffordshire potteries. The company is well known for making lines of china for hotels and fraternal eating establishments.
The mark on the bottom of these
dates to 1906. Stamp says
Maddock & Co Burslem England and TradeMark, with Royal above the crown and
ribbon with STONE CHINA - indicating Ironstone china, a heavy early glazed
pottery and very collectible.
