VERY RARE HIGH GRADE MOVEMENT IN THIS WATCH…. THIS IS WHAT FINE HIGH GRADE WATCHES OF THE MID-1800’s WAS ALL ABOUT….. Vintage STERLING SILVER large antique 1800 Porcelain Dial pocket watch pocketwatch in a fully hinged Sterling Silver case. This early watch is all original.
DIAL: This dial has large black Roman hour numbers, early moon hands, and sub-seconds. The watch needs a second hand and a crystal.
CASE: There is a fancy Victorian engraved design on the caseback. Caseback has NO personal engraving and NO wear through spots. Signed on the inside of the hinged caseback: hallmark of a small shield with 3 upside-down v’s in it, ARGENT 52207 . Signed on the outside of the protective dust cover: ECHAPPEMENT a Cylindre Aiquille No 52207 . 4 TROUS en Rubis .
SIZE: 44.5mm across. 65mm from top-to-bottom .
MOVEMENT: NOW FOR THE RARE PART…. Well made high grade antique mechanical guilt gold movement has gold balance. Very rare lay-out configuration movement like one of the high end watch makers of the 1800’s.
CONDITION: This watch does not run. Needs cleaned and repaired as it has been sitting for a very long time.
