This is the Black Knights's Cross pendant made by Alchemy Gothic (Alchemy Metal-Wear).  The English Pewter and black enamel pendant is a cross formée featuring a skull at the center.  Measuring approximately 1 1/4" tall and 1 1/4" wide, the Black Knight's Cross comes on a 20" blackened pewter chain. 

Theme: The pendant is reminiscent of the Iron Cross which was first introduced in 1813 by Kaiser Frederic Wilhelm of Prussia as a medal for acts of heroism and military valor.  Some form of the Iron Cross remained in use by Prussia and then Germany until 1945. 

Alchemy Metal-Wear: In 1982 the original Alchemy collection was established as 'Alchemy Metal-Wear'.  The collection invoked the primeval forces of Light and Dark, depicting their eternal struggle for supremacy.  Now Alchemy Metal-Wear is back.  Inspired by the mythology and legends of the ancient and Medieval worlds, Alchemy Metal-Wear depicts a Dark Age where warriors and mystics meet deities, demons and nightmares, where ancient beliefs and tokens of power and Magik are survival systems.  Dark realms of dragons, spirits, and supernatural forces are resurrected in this new line from Alchemy Gothic.

Handcrafted English Pewter: This pendant is handmade in England using the highest quality English Pewter.  English Pewter is a lead-free, zinc-free alloy which is valued second only to silver.  English Pewter is much harder to craft than the low-grade zinc and lead alloys (which contain a significant amount of toxic impurities) that are still being used in some jewelry manufacture today.  Because these pendants are handcrafted and hand-finished, each one is unique; and there are slight variations between individual pieces.  Also, slight imperfections in the finished product are normal, expected, and add to the unique handmade character of each piece.  The pendant pictured is a sample and is not the actual pendant shipping.
