In 1898, company founder Josef Manner I invented the Manner Original Neapolitan slices: five layers of delicate wafers filled with four layers of the finest hazelnut cocoa cream. The size of the cuts was bite-sized. The format and basic recipe have remained unchanged to this day. The double aluminum foil with the red tear thread was introduced in the 1960s.

Sugar, wheat flour, vegetable fats (coconut, palm), hazelnuts (12% in the cream), lean cocoa powder, raising agent: sodium hydrogen carbonate; Salt, emulsifier: lecithins (soy); natural flavors. May contain traces of other nuts and milk ingredients.
