Spyderco Para Military 2 Gray G-10

Several times a year, Spyderco will manufacture a limited-number run of a select folding knife using newly released blade steels or handle materials.  They call these small batches of knives Sprint Runs.  A Sprint Run Para-Military2 with a Carpenter CTS 20CP steel blade and a gray G-10 handle is the latest variation to find its way into the Spyderco line-up.

The second generation Para Military 2 introduces several refinements over the original Para Military including a narrower G-10 handle, improved ergonomics, oversized lanyard hole and thinner blade profile.  The Para-Military2 comes with Spyderco's patented Compression Lock (as did the original) and with the long-awaited update of a four-way, deep-carry pocket clip allowing the folder to carry tip-up or tip-down and be adjusted for left-hand or right-hand deployment.  Implementation of a new Bushing Pivot System generates fluid blade action when opening and closing and offers improved consistency in manufacturing tolerances.

Carpenter specifically developed CTS 20CP as a blade tool steel.  Its high vanadium content results in elevated corrosion-resistance and is manufactured with their proprietary Micro-Melt powdered steel technique.  The Micro-Melt process enables the finished blade to be machined to an ultra-fine edge with superior surface finish.  The Para-Military2's blade is full flat-ground for optimal cutting performance.  Made with pride in Golden, Colorado U.S.A.
