Still one of the best-sounding amps ever made regardless of price. Made in Japan in 1980 with the revolutionary Twin Toroidal transformer. This is essentially two distinct mono amps in one chassis much like its larger companion the HK775 (but with half the output). Rated at a conservative 65 watts RMS per channel from 20 to 20K with almost immeasurable distortion and a high slew rate for deep, tight bass.

This is the 2nd one of these I ever bought and it is from an early production run. I have always felt these sounded a bit better than later ones and I owned (11) 770's and 775's so I should know! In any case these have (2) sets of heat sink fins (one short and one long on each side) for extra heat dissipation when you run these for long periods. Later ones only have the long ones.

There are a few marks but they are cosmetic only. The marks around the right power meter are the most noticeable with some oxidation present on the top & bottom panels. There is a bit of cord fraying where it joins the chassis, protected by electrical tape. When not in use this was always stored dry & smoke-free and away from excessive heat or cold.

FREE USA SHIPPING and a 30-day return privilege if you are not happy for any reason. Keep checking because you never know what hi-fi gear I am going to pull out for sale (tube stuff, too).
