Up for sale is a great, antique steel engraving of 6 Illinois homes -  The largest engraving is of the Residence of W.O. Pinnell - smaller engravings are of the Farm Residence of David B. Moore, Residence of Richard P. Netherington Hardin, Residence of F. Korsmeyer, Residence of Capt. J.F. McCartney, and Residence of H.H. Grandstaff - Illinois - 1876".

This double residence engraving measures approximately 14 1/2 x 17 1/2 inches, including the border area.

On the reverse side are engravings of well-known men from Illinois, including George S. Park & John & Joel Haws, esq.

This engraving is from the "Atlas of the State of Illinois - To Which Are Added Various General Maps - History, Statistics and Illustrations.  Union Atlas Company, Warner & Beers, Proprietors.  Lakeside Building Cor. of Clark & Adams Streets. - Chicago 1876 by Warner & Beers.

It is a great piece of history!  NOTE:  There are tears along one of the edges from where it was separated from the binding of the Atlas.

The engraving is generally in very good condition.  There is some age related browning, as well as some spotting and stains. The map has some small tears and chips around the edges, but they do not affect the map. Some other stains and dings here and there, as well.  Some heavier spotting in the bottom right hand corner on the "Lake In The Meadow" engraving from the Residence of W.O. Pinnell.

This very nice engraving would be a great addition to any collection and will look very nice when framed!

Please note that while I have included a picture of the Title Page of the Atlas this engraving was taken from, it is NOT included in the sale, as it is a reference piece to determine authenticity for the other maps/engravings.  I would be happy to include a copy if requested.

Please see my store for other great items.
