Wedding Post box

Our Post Boxes help keep things organised at the reception and these flat pack kits are a budget friendly solution.

We have multiple designs available in store, including: Wedding, Birthday and Christmas.

They are easy to paint and easy to transport. Each design has a hinged back for easy access to posted cards and can be tied closed with a ribbon or a Small Padlock to safeguard the contents (not supplied) - We also offer a personalised option where you can choose to change the MDF letters and include a colourful Royal mail style sign.

• Box Size: 20cm(W) x 33cm(H) x 20cm(D)
  
• Letter Opening: 15cm(W) x 3cm(H) - to fit standard wedding letter sizes, please be aware some cards may be bigger.

Post Box Sign INFORMATION REQUIRED:

• 2 Names to be put at the top e.g Harry and Megan
• Colour for the names in the banner at the top (no metallics)
• Colour of the banner at the top (no metallics)
• Venue name
• Date (e.g: 7th September 2022)
• Time (e.g: 5:00pm)
• Names at the bottom e.g Mr & Mrs Sussex

We do not paint metallic colours such as gold and silver.

MATERIAL:

• 2mm thick MDF, a great thin material to paint and decorate.

ASSEMBLY/ADDITIONAL INFO:

• LETTERS WILL HELD IN WITH TAPE, NOTHING GLUED – peel off carefully. 
• Designed to fit together, can be secured with wood glue (PVA) or another strong adhesive for wood. 
• Sometimes all the pieces can be simply clicked together first, then gently opening the back and applying glue within. This can reduce construction time. 

• The panel/part with the letters (no rectangle hole) is there to hold the letters in place for transport and can be used to help with letter alignment when glueing them to the front panel (piece with the letter hole)
  
• You can use both oil-based paint and water-based paint (Acrylic/Poster Paint) on MDF, though we would recommend doing a primer first if you are wanting a strong bright colour.
  
• Please make sure any paint is not too watery as this can affect the wood

PLEASE NOTE: THE WOOD MAY HAVE SOME SCORCH MARKS ON EACH SIDE OF THE MATERIAL. THIS IS DUE TO THE CUTTING PROCESS IN THE LASER CUTTER AND MARKS CAN EASILY BE REMOVED WITH SANDING. THERE MAY ALSO BE A SMELL TO THE WOOD BUT THIS WILL SOON FADE.

Not suitable for outdoor use in wet weather as moisture will make the MDF swell.
