Up for sale is a 8 1/2" x 11" 1-page typed, personal letter from Wesley Powell - on Seal of The State of New Hampshire letterhead - to Mr. Robert W. Kane, Manchester, NH, dated October 10, 1960.  In Full: "I am most grateful for all your efforts with regard to the visit of the Vice President and want you to know that your helpful cooperation was most appreciated.  The visit was certainly a great success and I know that each and every person on the committee worked hard.  Ahead of us is victory and we must redouble our efforts to make certain every citizen in every community who supports our cause reaches the polls on November 8th.  I am certain you can be counted upon to do your best.  With best wishes,."  It is signed "We".

Wesley Powell (October 13, 1915 - January 6, 1981) was an American lawyer and Republican politican from Hampton Falls, New Hampshire.  He served two terms as Governor of New Hampshire, serving from 1959 to 1963.  He lost the renomination in 1962.

The letter is generally in good condition.   It has some wear and browning due to age.  It has two creases across the middle where it was originally folded when mailed.  Some wear around the edges and other small dings.
