Striking mid-20th century, circa 1940, vintage Baker Furniture Federal style sideboard. Mahogany solids and mahogany veneers on hardwood. The front doors are veneered with nicely figured mahogany. Beautifully detailed with string inlay and flame mahogany inset panels. Eight solid, tapered legs. The drawers' secondary wood is solid oak, and they all slide smoothly. Each of the outside drawers have flatware dividers. Two doors with curved fronts for storage. Labeled on the inside with the mark used after WWII that was replaced with the current silver metal oval tag.
Structurally without issues. The drawers all slide smoothly, and the interiors are extremely clean. Some very small corner dings on the legs from vacuum cleaners. Extremely minor wear on the top and do damage whatsoever. Exceptionally clean, especially considering its age.
Measurements: 78" wide, 26" deep at the center (23" deep at the outside edges), and 36" tall.
