Good candidate for hacking a dead electronic dehumidifier control.  This robust, but simple electronic control can do it all......all you need is to be handy at wiring electrical stuff...

Working control module for first generation electronic Whirlpool dehumidifier.
For positive identification, please verify via photographic match to your existing module.
The 4th & 5th units appear identical except for graphics on the control surface--see final photo--to purchase this one, request it on the order details page.

Included is the module, frost sensor, and water level microswitch.  Humidity sensor is integral to the module--see photo.

I have sold numerous board sets with good success.

In purchasing this item, you are agreeing to communicate and try my simple suggestions before deeming the item defective--some seem to give up way too easily--after all, you want a functioning unit, is that not so?

Note that the compressor relay often does not pick up for up to about 5 minutes--this is to prevent restart with liquid refrigerant still in the compressor.

Also note that the motor capacitor (box style) common to these units is subject to failure--if your unit has one of these (even if working), I recommend replacing it with the tubular tin can type.  Capacitor failure is very gradual and causes the compressor to overheat and eventually self-destruct.  I can provide capacitors for $6 each--state capacitance & voltage rating.

Please also check your unit for recall--potential fire hazard!
