Two Vintage Battery Toy Motors One KKK Japan, The Other Wilson’s Of Cleveland
Condition: The KKK marked motor is made of stamped metal, and the Wilson’s is made of clear plastic and resembles the motor used in some Erector sets, but is slightly smaller…both probably date from the 1950’s…the two seem to run O.K., but the metal one is a little noisy (may be normal)…one is marked “KKK MADE IN JAPAN”, the other is marked “WILSON’S CLEVELAND MADE IN U.S.A”…both motors have scratches, but no cracks or chips…the plastic motor was glued to a balsa base at one time, and there are some remnants present…the motors are aluminum and plastic, so there is no rust…Note – due to age and unknown history, these two motors are sold as-is, with no returns.
Description: The aluminum KKK motor is about 2” long counting the shaft, about 1 3/8” wide, and 1” high, with a 3/16” shaft, and was made without mounting pads…the other motor is also 2” long, but 1” wide and about 1 ½” high – the shaft is also about 3/16”; they are probably 6 V DC…we do not know what toy these motors came from, or their age.
