Armenia Holy Icon Martyrs of the Armenian Genocide Full Sheet 8 Stamps - Condition mint never hinged. This beautiful stamp sheet depicts what has become a very famous painting that is often seen in churches and other Armenian institutions.  This painting was commissioned by the Catholicos of Armenia His Holiness Karekin II, and painted by Tigran Barkhanajyan for the 2015 ceremony of canonization, marking the 100th year of remembrance of the Armenian Genocide. The canonization of new saints was the Armenian church's decision to declare that the victims of the Armenian Genocide of 1915 were holy martyrs.  The painting depicts people who represent different types of people who died in the Armenian Genocide in Western Armenia.  The figures stand on shattered monuments and religious artifacts symbolizing the cultural wealth that was lost.  The original painting is on display in the museum of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, in Armenia.

I want to note that there may be very small creases on the edges of some full sheets.  This is unfortunately due to handling by postal workers, the tiny creases are already there when the sheets are purchased at the post office.  All of my Armenian stamps are purchased directly from post offices in Yerevan, Armenia.  I don't purchase Armenian stamps from secondhand sources, not even stamp dealers.
