1978 airmail cover sent from Las Vegas, NV to Turin, Italy. As one can see from the hand-written readdressing, the letter was ultimately forwarded to its intended recipient in a town in Great Britain ("Gran Bretagna" in Italian), which necessitated that some Italian stamps be affixed for the onward journey. The Las Vegas postmark clearly reads July 10, 1978, and the Turin (Torino) postmark reads July 22, 1978. There is no sign of when or if it made it to Great Britain. Regardless, the cover tells an interesting story. This cover, which is in nice condition, is franked using one 31c airmail (Scott C90) stamp and two Italian stamps (500 Lira and 120 Lira). It is a Very Fine piece ready to enhance any collection of U.S. postal history.
