Got a custom Mini and would like to have your own name badge? These badges are 3D printed in ABS using a font very close to the original used on the boot lid of your 850/Deluxe/Cooper S.

The colour is off-white. There are places around who coat plastic with chrome (like most name badges are these days) or use the item as a mould for a cast metal part. (see https://www.bronzingstudio.com.au/others/)

Please note the following:
1) There is some texture to the surface. This may be easily sanded off to give a smooth finish.
2) For long badges, the items are made in groups of 4 characters with a lapped joint. You can glue the pieces together using superglue for a strong bond.
3) For long badges, there is some warping to due the heat of the printing process. This can be easily taken up by fixing the part to the metal work of your car (it is flexible enough to bend if there pins to hold it in place), or the part can be heated using a hot air gun and bent flat or to shape (e.g. if you want to follow the contour of the bootlid).
4) Pins are not installed since this will depend on where your holes are in your panel, or you may want to use adhesive like in modern cars. Pins may be installed by just drilling into the plastic and gluing in a pin where you want it.

The font is not an exact match with the original 60's script, but quite close.

The items are made from ABS plastic. They are not UV tolerant, and should be painted, plated, or used as a mould. Paint will stick to the material very well.

The badges shown in the images in the listing are examples of the type of thing you are purchasing - you are not purchasing the badges in the images. You are purchasing a badge with the lettering of your choice.
