About the artist :

Born to architect parents, I was named after Pablo Picasso’s daughter Paloma. It also means “dove” a sing of peace. I have been in contact with design, architecture and poetry since childhood. I educated myself into Gospel and Jazz appreciation since I was very young growing up in Mexico, listening to the jazz hour on the States University radio show, and through satellite TV and my trips to the Texas where I would ask my parents to by music jazz and classical music cassettes and cd’s for me .

I studied at the La Salle Catholic Schools all the way through high school and graduated from Universidad Regiomontana as an Architect in 2006. Always inspired and encouraged by my parents I spend a summer in Italy studying art. Travelling through Europe, Canada and the south of Mexico has been a very important part of my formation as an artist and a woman.

In 2016 I register “Yes We Render” LLC, through which I provide architectonic 3D renderings to designers, architects, home and business owners in Arkansas.

I have had many intellectual influences in my life, but my now 4 years old daughter Paloma Grace has come to top all of them; I have the honor and joy to pass on to her my deep love for the work of Klimt, Van Gogh, Gauguin, Victor Horta, Oscar Wild, Pablo Neruda, Gershwin, Ella Fitzgerald, every jazz player and singer in history, social activist, actors and writers.

If I could use a song title to describe my life as an architect in Mexico and an artist and contractor in America, it has to be my favorite song: “Round Midnight” By Thelonious Monk.
