Orient Star in general is one of Japan’s answer to the Swiss. This watch is super rare and hard to find. Dubbed the “Explorient” with it’s explorer-esque looks, this model is one I’ve never seen before in this beautiful shade of blue and with a power reserve indicator. 

**** THINGS TO CONSIDER ****

- I wore this watch sparingly and it always ran very well and the cool power reserve indicator works perfectly. 

- There is a slight haze on the underside of the crystal that can ONLY be seen in direct sunlight. I had never really noticed until a previous buyer pointed it out.

- There is no sign of water intrusion or damage through the see through caseback and I'm not sure what produced the haze. Like I said, it can only be seen with severe and strong lighting. It's super weird, hence the price of the listing. 

With that said, It’s a great size, wears well, and has a fantastic domed acrylic crystal that really gives it the vintage look. The watch has sharp case lines, very very light desk diving swirls on the bracelet, and overall is a fantastic piece. Watch also comes in it’s original and super elegant box as well as with the links I took out. Watch fits my 7.25” wrist.
