This Vintage Jilona Midget Model 2 Camera Number 27488, Circa 1949-50, Japan is being sold for Parts or Repair.

This camera was examined by a person who has a fair amount of experience with vintage cameras.

Midget Anastigmat 1:4.5 lens has fungus and light haze on the lens elements

The outer lens mount assembly bezel is dented between 4 o'clock and 6 o'clock

Dust and specks on viewfinder elements; front viewfinder assembly screw slot shows tool marks

Shutter functions, but the aperture opens inconsistently and often incompletely

Film advance winder knob turns freely

Filmback door locks correctly and its hinge action is tight

Film counter cover slider moves freely and the amber indicator window is worn but clear

Remnants of original leather wrap on the back of the film door are marked "New Model"

I believe that this would be a good working camera after a complete CLA (clean/lubricate/adjust) by a qualified camera repair facility.

The camera lacks both film spools and originally used 35mm film that was cut in half to 17.5mm.
