This is a collection of old Railroad films called a "Trip to Silverton". Very RARE and maybe 1 of a kind film story about a group of 275 Railroad fans who commissioned a Locomotive 5626 in Illinois to travel to Denver, and then on to Silverton Colorado in 1959. Once they got to the base of the Rockies, they changed Railroad locomotives to go on a Narrow Gauge Steam Engine No.476. From there they traveled to Silverton. The first 3 films is are about that trip. These films are very rare and we hope you'll enjoy this collection.

st Film; "Journey to Yesterday". This a very rare film footage with sound where the fans go aboard there 16 train cars attached to the Steam Engine No. 5626. Leaving Chicago, they travel to Denver. There they change trains to the Narrow Gauge Train No.476 and begin the upward trip to Silverton. Runtime 12:28 Min's

nd Film; "Trip To Silverton". This is part 2 of there trip to Silverton. Up they go. Canyons, rivers, cliffs, and through small towns to get to Silverton. At the end, there is a truck type train. I think this was to get to the very last of the trip. If anyone knows, let us know. Amazing stuff. Runtime 11:44 Min's

rd Film; "Rails Among the Peaks". This too is a Rare film traveling through the Rocky peaks. I think this film was shot by one of the 275 fans that went on the trip and made a separate film. This film is in good color too. Runtime 10:48 Min's.

th Film;" Ballad of the Iron Horse". This is great film on the history of railroad created across the USA after the civil war. Part of the great struggle was crossing the Rockies. Great trains and story. Lot of great footage. Runtime 29:02 Min's
