Kivumbasi lime basil

Latin name: Ocimum canum

This variety is native to the island of Unguja, Zanzibar. It is a diminutive plant, growing to only about 30 cm (1 ft).
It develops white flowers. Its fragrance is distinctly citrusy. It is traditionally used in African herbalism for tea and divination.
These plants prefer full sun and garden soil.
This variety tends to go fast to flower, so the plants nipped back!
