The set was purchased from the estate of an art glass collector in Clayton, MO.  The candlestick is not marked, but the bowl has the acid etched Loetz mark.  Clearly this is Bohemian art glass - it seems to be a variation on the Loetz carneol glass.  They are Art Deco era pieces with applied amethyst trim.  The true color can be seen in the pictures taken under natural lighting.  We have seen a candlestick attributed to Loetz in the same shape currently on the market.  The bowl measures 10 1/2" in diameter and 3" tall; the candlestick is 10" tall; the oval mark is 7/8" wide by 1/4" tall.  Please read condition report and see photos.

Buttercup’s Antiques is a green shipper, meaning we will reuse shipping materials whenever possible without compromising the stated condition of the item.  If you would prefer new shipping materials be used, this may impact shipping price, but we will be happy to accommodate your request.  Just make sure to email us within the three-day handling period after your purchase is processed.  

Since many of our items are unique and fragile, we will only accept returns if the item is damaged during the shipping process and we are notified within 24 hours of item delivery.   

Items of over $200 in value will be insured.  Artwork of over $500 in value, in addition to being insured, will be shipped using professional packing and shipping services to assure item safety.  The price of insurance and shipping is reflected in either the purchase or shipping costs.
