Our ICS Controllers adapter board is a quick and easy way to interface your MTR2000 repeater to an external repeater controller.

The DB-9 female for connection to the radio port on the controller is pinout compatible with several repeater controllers, including our new PI-Repeater-x controllers, RLC Controllers, and Arcom RC-210 Controllers.

There is a 10uf capacitor on the board that provides dc blocking for the transmitter audio going to Pin A17 and two diodes that provide protection for the COS and CTCSS signals between the radio and the controller.

The 6 pin header is for audio selection between 4 wire audio and the audio inputs and outputs on the 96 pin connector.

The pins on the connector are as follows: Pins 1 & 6 are ground. Pin 2 is receiver audio to the controller, Pin 5 is transmit audio from the controller. Pin 3 goes to C17 and Pin 4 goes to A17 on the 96 pin connector.

The jumper block allows the selection of using either the receive and transmit audio paths on the 96 pin connector or 4 wire audio.

With the jumpers installed on Pins 2&3 and 4&5 the audio to and from the controller is routed to the 96 pin connector.

By removing the jumpers and installing a connector with 4 wires you can connect the receive and transmit audio signals from the controller to the 4 wire audio terminals on the back of the radio. The wiring scheme for using the 4 wire audio is as follows: Pin 1 is 2-, Pin 2 is 2+, Pin 6 is 1- & Pin 5 is 1+.  We highly recommend using shielded cables between the adapter board and the 4 wire radio terminals when choosing this option.

The 5 pin header has the following signals routed to it for interfacing with the analog and digital inputs and outputs on your controller. Pin 1 - Ground, Pin 2 is RSSI, Pin 3 is VSWR Alarm, Pin 4 is AC Power Fail, and Pin 5 is GPIO_0.

If you need matching connector housings and pins we do have them available for an additional cost. They are standard .1" spacing and are available from several sources
