What's on this DVD;  Willys Overland M-38 and M38a1 Jeeps

This new type of jeep was developed from the CJ-3a (M38) and  this DVD is about the Amazing M38 and the M38a1 Willys 1/4 Ton Jeep, plus the civilian CJ-3a and the CJ-5 and the utilities that were created to be used in civilian use as the CJ-5 (M38a1).  The production run was between 1950 to 1953 for the military versions, and of course, the CJ-5 (Civilian version) continued on for years after that.  The M33 had a total run of about 61K made and the M38a1 had total run of 101k unite built.  After that, the Army adopted the famous M151 MUTT unibody.  The rarest of films in this collection is for the 1st film called "Willys 4 Wheel Drive Family.  We hope you will enjoy these films.

1st Film: "Willys 4 Wheel Drive Family".  This is a great and rare film unlike anything I have ever seen.  It is about the CJ-3a and the CJ-5 civilian jeep and a lot of utilities that were created for the jeeps.  From a Fire engine, to ditch witch, plus hauling, lifting, pumping water, carrying a welder, cutting lumber, farm equipment, to construction uses, this a great visual story of the past.  We have included much more footage of the M38 and the M38a1, but this is really what your are paying for and I think you'll be pleased with this footage.  Great footage and great historical film.   Amazing stuff. Runtime 12:43 Min's

2nd Film: "M38 M38a1 War Games".  This is a film from the Army and it is about the battlefield testing and war games with the M38 and the M38a1 used in these games.  From recoilless Jeeps to lifting by slings or carried inside a CH-37 Mojave helicopter, the is a great piece of visual footage of these Jeeps. Runtime 16:09 Min's

3rd Film: "MP's and the M38 Border Patrol".    This film is fun film on the use of the M38 and MP's daily checking the border between free Germany and the Communists. All is quite on the eastern front and great footage of the M38 with gear as they travel threw the German countryside.  A must see.  Runtime 10:23 Min's

4th Film:  "M38 and M38a1 Newsreels".  This collection is from saving footage over the years on these 2 jeeps. 1st, M38 and Piasecki H-16.  2nd, 1954, Marilyn Monroe and the M38a1 Jeep. 3rd, M38 Snorkel tests.  4th, M38a1 Snorkel tests. 5th, M38 recoilless rifle test.  6th, Ch-37 loaded M38a1 and Little John.  7th, CH-37 Slings 2 jeeps and trailers.  8th,  M38a1 and Camera crew.  9th, De-contamination of a M38a1. 10th, M38a1 loaded and unloaded by cargo nets. 11th, M38 and Bomb Disposal. Some Very Rare footage. Runtime 24:44 Min's

5th Film; "Chaplain and the Jeep".  This film shows how the little jeep carried Chaplains around Korea  to bust moral for the troops.  We thought you might enjoy this film too. Runtime 16:27 Min's
