Common hackberry

Hackberry comes from North America. This broad-crowned and fast-growing plant can grow up to 20 meters (65 ft) high and several hundred years old.
Its fruitpulp is edible. The ripe fruits taste pleasantly sweet and they are suitable for raw consumption, for further processing into jam, for drying and can also be processed into liqueur.
These round, dark stone fruits are often eaten by birds.
