A beautiful sun dial decorated with a traditional compass rose design. Cast in solid brass from an antique original pattern.

How they are made
This sundial is "sand cast" - the same process uséd to make the Victorian original. Molten brass is poured into sand moulds formed using an antique pattern. When cool, the casts are hand finished and polished. This makes an authentic antique style which is not machine finished.

How To Care For Your Brass Sundial
Brass develops a mature and mellow patina over time. Many people love this traditional look, but if you feel the brass is getting dirty and covered in grime then you can clean the sun dial with lukewarm soapy water and a soft brush or lint-free cloth. Avoid using abrasive materials as they can scratch the surface of the brass. For a more radiant sheen, use a good quality brass polish.
