Everbuild 825 Alcoxy LM Silicone Sealant Neutral Cure Frame Wall Joints Builders

Everbuild Tecnic Silicone 825 is a low modulus, neutral curing Silicone sealant based on an filled alkoxy curing system. Specially formulated to provide extra tool down time on longer joints. Conforms to ISO11600 class F25LM and G25LM when tested to ISO11600. Typically used for expansion joints to stone, brick, concrete and composite panels, perimeter pointing around all types of window and door frames, weatherproofing sealing to most external applications, construction and dilation joints where stress does not occur until fully cured.

Description and uses

A mid modulus sealant that adheres to most smooth and non-porous materials.  Forms a powerful permanent seal.

Ideal for use in the following applications:

Perimeter Pointing internally and externally around Doors and Windows

Adheres to Concrete, Brick, Wood, Metals and Glass without the use of a Primer

Aluminium and plastic gutter sealing

Glass to glass and glass to aluminium & metal sealing

Application

Apply using a standard sealant gun.  Surfaces must be sound, clean and dry, free from dust, grease and other contaminants.

The joint depth must never be greater than the width.

Minimum depth: 10mm. Maximum depth: 20mm for deep joints, reduce depth by using EVERFLEX FIX AND FILL FOAM or a suitable joint backer rod. All joints should be designed so that the seal is placed in a position which does not retain water or form a water trap. Triangular fillets should be no less than 12mm across the face and should be finished with a flat or convex face. Cut the tip of the cartridge taking care not to damage the thread. Apply nozzle and cut at an angle of 45o with an opening slightly larger than the gap to be sealed. Apply using a standard sealant gun. Best results will be obtained by keeping an even pressure on the trigger and keeping the gun at a constant angle to the surface being sealed. To ensure a proper bond, always smooth the sealant down with a spatula or piece of wood wetted with linseed oil or white spirits. An improved joint appearance can be achieved by placing masking tape to both sides of the joint, removing within 5 minutes of application.

Tool down within 15 minutes of application - we recommend the use of the seal rite smooth out tool or alternatively use a wetted spatula, piece of smooth dowel or a wetted finger.
