In April 1942 a group of Hollywood Stars embarked upon a three week tour of the USA to raise money for the Army and Navy Relief funds, supporting families and children of military personnel.  

See Laurel and Hardy in a clip of them performing their Driver's License Sketch, as well as Jimmy Cagney dancing "Yankee Doodle Dandy" live on stage, exclusively on this DVD.

The performing stars include (in alphabetical order) Desi Arnaz, Joan Blondell, Joan Bennett, Charles Boyer, James Cagney, Claudette Colbert, Jerry Colonna, Bing Crosby, Olivia de Havilland, Cary Grant, Charlotte Greenwood, Bob Hope (as Master of Ceremonies), Bert Lahr, Frances Langford, Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy, Groucho Marx, Merle Oberon, Pat O'Brien, Eleanor Powell, Rise Stevens, and many more!  (Groucho Marx does Dr. Hackenbush, Laurel and Hardy start their Driver's License Sketch, Jimmy Cagney dances to "Yankee Doodle Dandy."

Now for the first time ever on DVD you can watch actual color 16mm silent home movie footage of these stars performing live in Philadelphia on May 2, 1942. 

Along with the original 10 minute Kodachrome home movie is a home grown documentary about the Hollywood Victory Caravan loaded with factoids and images based on the book "Hollywood Victory Caravan" by I. Joseph Hyatt.
