This is aHandic 005 AM/FM VHF/UHF Scanner
I’ve fitteda new telescopic aerial and works fine. It would probably work better with an external aerial.
The onlything is both the volume and squelch controls are a bit noisy when being turned(probably a bit of dust in the pots) but I’ve been trying to clean them byturning the backwards and forwards and seems to have almost got rid of thenoise. It’s fine when they are set.
Works ofeither mains (cable is attached to the receiver) or a 13.8volt supply (notincluded)
Also comescomplete with it’s manual with instructions on how to set it up. Once you have programmed it with thefrequencies you want you will have to insert a 9v (PP3) battery (not supplied)to keep the settings when switching it off.
