Jean Beliveau
Dual Signed "Norad" Jersey
PSA/DNA Autenticated
Montreal Canadiens Hall of Fame GREAT!
(d.2014)
Fond memories for Jean Beliveau with this neat REPLICA of the white
and red knit jersey which he wore in an exhibition game the season after
retiring from the NHL in 1971. Mr. Beliveau relates the story of how he
was picked up by authorities at the St. Hubert (south shore Montreal)
airport and flown to Colorado Springs to take part in the game. Beliveau
donned this identical sweater and played for the NORAD team, the North
American Aerospace Defense Command, which provides warning of
missile and air attack against Canada and the United States, safeguards
the air sovereignty of North America and provides air defense forces
against air attack. Beliveau recalls the beautiful rink at the U.S. Air Force
Academy in Colorado Springs and the big-time treatment he received
there. This NORAD jersey has no tags around size 46. The red maple leaf
on the front and "Beliveau" across the nameplate are sewn-on. Big
Jean's number "4" is also sewn-on. The jersey is in outstanding
condition, with no tears or stains. This special and EXTREMELY RARE
jersey will be accompanied by a letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA, for
your protection.
