The books are 125 x 125mm or 5 inches by 5 inches and contain 20 sheets. Available in Brass, Aluminium and Copper. Loose leaf is cheaper than transfer and is used for most gilding purposes, particularly carved surfaces.
Aluminium does not tarnish so there is no need to apply clear wax but to make it look like silver a light coat of dark wax gives it a look of vintage silver.
Use the leaf with hands lightly dusted with talcum powder and stick the leaf on to a surface coated with Gold Size.
