You will see reflections in the picture due to light glare, the camera finish is even wood gloss finish.

CUSTOM, ONE-OF-A-KIND 100+ year-old Antique Unbranded German Drop-Plate Box Camera, probably taking 3 ¼” x 4 ¼” exposures on glass plates or sheet film (unfortunately, no plate holders are included with the camera). This camera was definitely not meant for U.S. export, since the tripod socket is metric sized. Completely refurbished and refinished with a new Khaya veneer covering, all fittings have been polished, viewfinders are bright and clear, lens has no hazing, fungus or balsam separation. The sliding guillotine shutter is partially operational, (turn the key clockwise to cock the shutter, but because the key mechanism is somewhat stiff, pressing the shutter release button will not always open the shutter. Instead, cock the shutter, hold the shutter release, then turn the key back counter-clockwise at the same time, and the shutter will open). Pulling the knob (do NOT turn it) in the lower center of the face would change the plates if the camera had any in it. Customized with a Khaya veneer, this camera is a one-of-a-kind creation, perfect for display in any camera collection or gift for the avid camera collector!
