For the card title, the #'s listed are: first for the sticker side (using a dash, " - ", for two player combos) and, after the slash "/ ", the stickerback side #.

The Topps sticker sets from 1988-1990, also OPC 1988-1989, are complicated and confusing issues. These can be described as two different sets in each year, depending on what side is viewed. The 1989 set of 328 numbers, the sticker side, can actually be peeled off. The second set of 67 "SuperStars" (SS) are regular cardstock and blank backed if the sticker is removed.

The 'SS' set of 67 all have multiple versions of stickers on the reverse side, an average about 11 per. This means while there are 328 players (some 2 per sticker), there are actually over 700 different 'cards' in total. Some front/back variations are particularly challenging including certain popular players back to back as well as some that may be short printed compared to others.

The sticker set has single player, Foil All Star and combo player sides (each player on the same side has his own number). These have red border trim on AL players and blue trim on NL players. The stickerback "SuperStar" set has orange backgrounds for AL players and green for NL players. #67 is a checklist of the Superstars stickerback set.
