Antique Bronze tiger statue figure sculpture dated: 1974. Signed by a very important Japanese artist: Seibo Kitamura (1884-1987). Seibo has his own museum and famous public statues, read about him on wikipedia. Great statue of a carnivorous predator in modern expressionist style. It looks like a very rusty iron, much faded gold plated statue, but in fact it is not iron (it is not magnetize), not real rusty (rust does not come off) and the gold platation is not faded it is made like that. This is special coverage method, his speciality. I don't know what kind of metal is this. I believe it is a kind of bronze, but I'm not sure, very heavy so it can not be aluminum.
